Who We Are
Custom Clearance (operated by PCSL) is a UK customs clearance service based at Unit 4, Dairy Court, 97 Huntingdon Street, St Neots, Cambs, PE19 1DU, UK. For any privacy-related enquiries, contact customs@pcsl.uk.com.
What Data We Collect
- Contact form submissions — name, email, phone (optional) and message content.
- Analytics data (only with your consent) — anonymised page views, device type, approximate location (country/city), referrer.
- Technical data — IP address (for rate-limiting and security), browser user-agent.
Lawful Basis
Under UK GDPR we process your data on the following bases:
- Consent — for analytics cookies (Google Analytics).
- Legitimate interests — for answering your enquiries and site security (e.g. reCAPTCHA, rate-limiting).
- Contract — where we enter a service agreement with you.
Cookies
We use two categories of cookies:
Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function. Includes language preference, session security and reCAPTCHA (Google's anti-spam service). These cannot be disabled without breaking core features.
Analytics (optional)
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-KS1M5121HQ) to understand how visitors use the site. Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them via the cookie bar. IP anonymisation is enabled. You can withdraw consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" button.
How Long We Keep Data
- Contact form enquiries — up to 24 months for customer service, then deleted unless a service relationship is established.
- Analytics data — retained by Google for 14 months.
- Cookie consent record — 12 months (stored in your browser).
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction or deletion
- Object to or restrict processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — ico.org.uk
Third Parties
We share data with the following processors:
- Resend — for delivering contact form emails.
- Google (reCAPTCHA + Analytics) — for spam protection and (with consent) analytics.
- Hostinger — our hosting provider (UK data centre).
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the cookie bar prompting renewed consent.
